Hospital Administration

This program will help you develop the skills to make you an efficient hospital administrator. In addition to the full program you will also be expected to take up courses in Human Resource Management and Human Relations.

The program has the following objectives

• explain and apply accounting concepts, principles and conventions to problems
• prepare basic financial statements from both structured and unstructured dat
• analyze, interpret and communicate the information contained in basic financial statements, and explain the limitations of such statements
• list and apply relevant techniques to aid internal users in planning, control and decision-making
• evaluate investment opportunities using discounting and compounding of expected future cash flows.

This course comprises three basic elements:

1. techniques for the recording, classification and reporting of numerical information
2. the legal and institutional background associated with accounting information
3. the economic and administrative problems for the solution of which the information is required
